George McPhee, a former NHL player and currently the general manager of the Washington Capitals, remembers watching his friends on the Olympic team and describes the impact the Miracle on Ice has had on American hockey. McPhee was on the ice as a college skater when the results of the game were announced. "Boy, you just got chills," he recalls.
