Adventurer Jason Lewis recalls the septicaemia he contracted from swimming in the ocean during his human powered circumnavigation of the globe and how he was diagnosed using modern technology. On October 6, 2007 Lewis completed his 46,505 mile journey around the world that began in 1994.
