Israeli Olympic swimmer Shlomit Nir-Toor was a survivor of the Munich Massacre at the 1972 Olympic Games, which took place in Munich, West Germany, on August 26 to September 11. She discusses the importance of remembering the attack.

On September 5, 1972, during the Olympic Games, a Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September took 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team hostage.
