Ron Woodroof's doctor, Dr. Steven Pounders, discusses his first person account of Woodroof's diagnosis and struggle through AIDS. Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician diagnosed with AIDS in 1986, began self-prescribing a mixture of drugs in order to hold off the disease. He also began selling these drugs to other AIDS victims in what came to be called the Dallas Buyers Club.
