Civil rights activist Franklin McCain, known as one of the 'Greensboro Four,' remembers what it was like to sit at the Woolworth lunch counter on February 1, 1960 in protest of the store's racially discriminatory policy. He discusses how it changed his life and recalls exactly how the idea of protesting the store came to fruition. By July 25, 1960 Woolworth's had completely desegregated their store as well as many other stores in the town that had previously discriminated against African America customers.
