Twenty-seven year old Hanna, female activist in the 2011 Egyptian revolution, explains how she is fighting back against Mubarak's regime in Tahrir Square. Her first person account explains that she has come up with slogans and phrases to send Mubarak their message in a non-violent manner. The 2011 Egyptian Revolution began on January 25 and was a movement that sought to overthrow the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The movement consisted of riots, labor strikes, marches and non-violent civil resistance from millions of protestors focusing on political and legal issues, that later turned into a bloody, violent battle with thousands injured.
