Jazz artist, Esperanza Spalding, won two Grammys for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist in 2013 at the 55th annual Grammy Awards. She is surprised by her wins and thankful for her art being recognized and appreciated.
The first Grammy Awards ceremony was held on May 4, 1959.
