Various women, who experienced the hardship, fear and pain that came with having an unwanted child, tell their personal stories about how abortions changed their lives. Their first person accounts tell their stories about how hard it was to be a women with-child before the time of Roe v. Wade. In 1973, Roe v. Wade, was a decision passed by the United States Supreme Court regarding abortion. The Court ruled 7–2 that a right to privacy under the due process clause of the 14th Amendment extended to a woman's decision to have an abortion. Women could choose abortion in earlier months of pregnancy without legal restriction, and with restrictions in later months, based on that right to privacy.
