Penelope Spheeris, the director of “Wayne’s World” and other movies, remembers Richard Pryor, who cohosted the show twice. In 1977 (when “Rocky” won Best Picture) he co-hosted with Warren Beatty, Ellen Burstyn, and Jane Fonda. In 1983 (“Gandhi”), he co-hosted with Liza Minnelli, Dudley Moore, and Walter Matthau. A celebrated stand-up comedian who appeared in dozens of movies, Pryor passed away in 2005.
