<p>Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz discusses what comes to mind when he thinks about the 1972 Summer Olympics, which took place in Munich, West Germany, on August 26 to September 11. Spitz thinks the Israeli tragedy takes precedent to his swimming achievements. </p>
<p>On September 5, 1972, during the Olympic Games, a Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September took 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team hostage.</p>
