She was assaulted with a police baton to the right knee by men hired by the ex husband of skating rival Tonya Harding. The tragedy became known as 'The Whack Heard Around the World.'

After suffering what was seemingly a career ending injury during the Elite 8 game of the 2013 NCAA College Basketball Championship, Kevin Ware is back on the court, giving a first person interview to ABC News. Ware played for The University of Louisville Cardinals and, after suffering the injury, his team went on to win the championship in the tournament that year.
