Channel 3 news interviews eight Egyptians living in Vermont during the 2011 revolution who discuss what it is like being so far away from their families in a time of violence and death. Their first person account reveals their stress that they can no longer communicate with their families because president Mubarak has blocked the internet. The 2011 Egyptian Revolution began on January 25 and was a movement that sought to overthrow the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The movement consisted of riots, labor strikes, marches and non-violent civil resistance from millions of protestors focusing on political and legal issues, that later turned into a bloody, violent battle with thousands injured.

Veteran Barry Scheuermann describes his duties in the US military during Operation Desert Storm as a member of the 628th Transportation company. Scheuermann explains how they fueled tanks on the battlefield and comments on the biggest mistake of the Gulf War. The Gulf War lasted from August 2, 1990 to February 28, 1991, but became the code named Operation Desert Storm on January 17, 1991. It was waged by a U.N.-authorized Coalition against Iraq in response to Saddam Hussein's invasion and annexation of Kuwait. It's also known as the Persian Gulf War, First Gulf War, Gulf War I, Kuwait War, or the First Iraq War, but the term "Iraq War" now refers to the 2003 Iraq War.

Mr. Parker, who served in the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War and the Iraq War, recalls what it was like being out in the midst of battle. His first person account reveals everything from the weirdest things he saw out at war to the saddest and most memorable experiences. He also describes the many countries he was able to visit such as Germany and Korea. The Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991), code named Operation Desert Storm (17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991) was a war waged by a U.N.-authorized coalition force from 34 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait. The war is also known under other names, such as the Persian Gulf War, First Gulf War, Gulf War I, Kuwait War, or the First Iraq War, before the term "Iraq War" became identified instead with the 2003 Iraq War.
