On Thursday, July 7, 2005, four Islamist terrorists detonated four bombs &#8211; three in quick succession aboard London Underground trains across the city and, later, a fourth on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square. 52 civilians were killed and over 700 more were injured in the United Kingdom&#39;s first suicide attacks.</p>

In her first person account, Morgan believes that the World Cup has helped her to become a more effective and confident player. She and the rest of the Olympic squad are confident in their ability to work well together and have put in a lot of hard work in order to be successful. The 2012 Summer Olympics took place in London from July 25, 2012 to August 12, 2012 with over 10,000 athletes competing. The women played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff starting July 25th. London was the first city to host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and in 1948. </p>

<p>Victoria Pendleton has retired after winning a silver metal in London for the 2012 Olympics. She represented Great Britain as English track cyclist who specialized in the sprint, team sprint and keirin disciplines. In her first person account, she exclaims how happy she was to achieve her medals but it was time to bow down and spend time having a life outside of cycling. In 2012 she won the gold medal in the keirin, as well as silver in the sprint. The cycling competitions at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place at five venues between 28 July and 12 August. Eighteen events were contested and around 500 athletes participated.</p>
