Bruce Springsteen performed that night and the next at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, opening with &#34;Born to Run.&#34; This recording is from the night of December 9. He closed the show that night with &#34;Twist and Shout,&#34; a shout out to an iconic Beatles recording, known for Lennon’s energetic vocals. John Lennon was assassinated by Mark David Chapman, a man he had earlier signed a copy of <em>Double Fantasy</em> for.</p>
