<p>The great Lillian Gish, often called the &#34;The First Lady of American Cinema,&#34; discusses her acting career and what it was like to work with the famous director D. W. Griffith. She and her sister, Dorothy, was cast in leading roles for many of Griffith&#39;s feature-length films. Gish discusses what it was like to film The Birth of a Nation, which premiered in L.A. on February 8, 1915 and is considered one of the most influential and controversial films in film history.</p>
